Can I access Turnitin without a university account?+
Turnitin is sold to universities and institutions, not to individuals or businesses, so you cannot create a Turnitin account directly. Plag Check gives you access to Turnitin's full plagiarism and AI detection through bulk report plans. You upload files through your dashboard and receive the same Turnitin PDF report universities generate, without an institutional login.
How is this different from Copyscape?+
Copyscape checks content against web pages only. Our reports use Turnitin's database of 1.9 billion academic papers, journals, conference proceedings, books, and the entire web. If a document was paraphrased from an academic source, a research paper or a journal article, Copyscape will miss it. Turnitin catches it. We also include AI detection for ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and other models, which Copyscape does not offer.
How is this different from Originality.ai or Copyleaks?+
Originality.ai and Copyleaks maintain their own proprietary databases and web indexes. They do not have access to Turnitin's academic database of 1.9 billion papers and student submissions. Does this detect AI-generated content from ChatGPT and other tools?+
Yes. Every report includes Turnitin's AI detection, which identifies content generated by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek and other major AI models. This is the same AI detection system used by over 16,000 universities worldwide. If a document contains AI-generated content with light editing, the report will flag it.
How does the credit system work?+
You purchase a pack of report credits upfront. Starter gives you 20 reports for $89 ($4.45 each). Agency gives you 50 reports for $189 ($3.78 each). Enterprise is custom pricing for 100 reports with monthly invoicing. Each file you upload uses one credit, and your full Turnitin PDF report is delivered to your email within 15 minutes. Unused credits are valid for one month from the date of purchase and do not roll over.
What file types and sizes do you accept?+
We accept .docx, .pdf, .doc and .txt files up to 25MB each. One file per report credit. If you need to check a batch of files, upload them one at a time through the dashboard.
How quickly do I receive the report?+
Reports are delivered to your email within 15 minutes of upload. Each report is a downloadable PDF containing the full Turnitin similarity score, a source-by-source breakdown, and the AI detection result. No waiting for batch processing. Upload, and the report arrives.
Is there an API for automated checking?+

Are our files stored after the report is generated?+
No. Every file is permanently deleted immediately after the Turnitin report is generated. We never store, index, share or use your content for any other purpose. Your documents remain completely confidential.
